Frequently Asked Questions

Are these QR code tools completely free?
Yes, 100% free. No signup, no login, no payment, no watermarks, and no usage limits. All 12 tools are free forever.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your URLs, WiFi passwords, UPI IDs, contact information, and location data are never sent to any server. We cannot see your data even if we wanted to.
Do QR codes generated here expire?
No. Static QR codes never expire. They always point to the content you encoded — whether that's a URL, WiFi credentials, contact information, or a UPI payment link. There is no dependency on our servers after download.
What is the difference between PNG and SVG download?
PNG is a fixed-resolution raster image — ideal for websites, emails, and digital displays. SVG is infinitely scalable without any quality loss, making it the right choice for printing on business cards, menus, banners, and packaging. Always use SVG for print.
Can I add my company logo to the QR code?
Yes. In the QR Code Generator, open the Customization section and upload your logo under "Center Logo". The tool automatically switches to High error correction level (30% data recovery) to ensure the QR remains scannable even with part of it covered by a logo.
Which QR types can I generate?
URL, WiFi (WPA/WEP/open), vCard contact, WhatsApp direct chat, Email, Phone number, GPS location, plain text, UPI payment (India), Google Maps location, Instagram profile, YouTube channel, and more. Bulk CSV generation is also supported.
How many QR codes can I generate?
There is no limit for individual QR code generation. For bulk generation, you can process up to 200 QR codes per CSV upload and download them as a single ZIP file.
What is a UPI QR code?
A UPI QR code encodes a UPI payment link (upi://pay?) that can be scanned by any UPI-enabled app — PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, and more. When scanned, the app opens with the merchant name and optional pre-filled amount, ready to pay. It is widely used by shops, restaurants, and freelancers in India.
Can I use these QR codes commercially?
Yes, absolutely. You can use any QR code generated here for personal or commercial purposes — print them on packaging, menus, business cards, banners, advertising materials, or anywhere else. No attribution required.
Do QR codes have watermarks?
No watermarks, ever. Every QR code you download is completely clean — no logos, URLs, or branding from this website is added to your downloads.
What is the maximum data a QR code can hold?
A QR code can hold up to 4,296 alphanumeric characters. However, more data means a denser, harder-to-scan QR code. For best results, keep URLs short (use a URL shortener if needed) and avoid encoding large blocks of text.
What error correction level is used?
Medium (M) by default, which allows recovery from up to 15% data loss — this is the sweet spot between size and reliability. When you add a logo, the tool automatically switches to High (H, 30%) so the QR remains scannable even with the logo covering part of it.
Can I scan QR codes from an image file?
Yes. The QR Code Scanner tool lets you upload any image file (PNG, JPG, HEIC, etc.) and instantly decodes the QR content. No camera required — just drag and drop the image.
Which phone cameras can scan these QR codes?
All modern smartphones can scan these QR codes without any app — iPhone camera (since iOS 11), Android camera (since Android 9/Pie), and most Android phone cameras from Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Realme, and others. You can also use Google Lens on any Android device.
