What formats can I download?

Are QR codes generated here permanent?

Yes. These are static QR codes — they always point to the content you encoded. There is no backend server or dynamic redirects. Your QR codes will work exactly the same 10 years from now.

What error correction level is used?

Medium (M) by default, which recovers up to 15% data loss — a good balance between QR density and reliability. When you upload a logo, the tool automatically switches to High (H, 30%) to compensate for the logo covering part of the pattern.

What QR types can I generate?

URL (website link), WiFi credentials, vCard contact, WhatsApp direct chat, Email (with subject), Phone number, GPS location (opens Google Maps), and plain Text. Each type has dedicated input fields for easy data entry.

What is the difference between dot styles?

Square: classic, highest density, most compatible. Dots: circular dots, modern look. Rounded: slightly rounded corners. Classy: sharp corners with a stylish twist. Classy+: classy with rounding. Smooth (extra-rounded): the most modern, best for branded QRs with a logo.

How large should I set the QR code size?

The size slider controls the exported pixel resolution. For digital use, 300–400px is standard. For large-format printing (posters, banners), download as SVG instead of relying on PNG pixel size — SVG is resolution-independent.

Can I add a frame with text around the QR code?

Yes. In Customization, enable "Frame & Label" and type your desired text — "Scan Me", "Visit Website", your brand name, or a call-to-action. The frame uses your selected colors and is composited on the PNG when you click Download.

What colors work best for scanning?

Dark foreground (QR dots) on a light background. The higher the contrast, the more reliably the QR scans in all lighting conditions. Avoid very similar shades for fg/bg. Never invert — light on dark reduces scan reliability significantly.

Can I use a QR code for Google Maps directions?

Does this work for WhatsApp Business numbers?

Yes. Enter your WhatsApp Business number with country code in the WhatsApp type. The generated QR encodes a wa.me/ link that opens a direct chat with your business number. Works the same as a personal number.
